About the Role
Looking for a change? fancy a challenge?
We are looking to expand our Senior Leadership capacity within the school with the introduction of an additional Deputy Head. So, if you are an outstanding practitioner already, who has 6 years or more experience teaching and if you work hard and thrive on challenge then we would like to hear from you.
Our belief is that children should experience a full and rich curriculum, from cookery to colour run, from forest school to photography and everything in between – they must be safe, happy, enthused and become fearless learners.
We need a dedicated person who will give everything for our magical children. This is not a simple day job – we are transforming a community and creating an enduring legacy. We are here to make a difference, break down barriers and raise aspirations…these are the values and moral purpose of the candidate we need.
Garden City Academy serves a socio-economically deprived area. This means that we have to work extra hard to provide the life chances that every child deserves. This is a task that we do not shy away from but embrace it!
Also, we know how to have fun! (after all, aren’t we all just big kids?), Be ready for dressing up days, children v teachers sports matches, staff BBQ and much more. Its really is a case of work hard and play hard, as staff well-being and workload is a key focus for us here at GCA.
For more details regarding the role please read the application pack.
