About the Role
Are you a leader and teacher who believes in learning without limits and can demonstrate this in all that you do? Do you want the opportunity to be part of a unique team to build upon the successes of Green Ridge since opening? Are you passionate that all children deserve the very best learning opportunities? If so, we would love to hear from you! We are looking for a unique leader who is up for a challenge and wants to get stuck in with all aspects of our academy life!
Due to the success and promotion of our previous Deputy Headteacher who has taken a Headship at another school within the trust, we are now seeking to recruit a new, permanent Deputy Headteacher for Green Ridge Primary Academy. This role is a Deputy Headteacher who will be non-class based, but with a teaching commitment of at least 0.6 per week across the academy.
Green Ridge Academy is a new primary school built on Berryfields, which opened in September 2017 in temporary accommodation on the site of the permanent building. The permanent school building opened in September 2018.
In September 2022, the academy will be two-form entry from Nursery through to Year Five, with a single class in Year Six, taking children from aged 2-11. Whilst the school currently has the capacity for over 450 children, this is an exciting time at Green Ridge, as we continue to grow our site is being expanded with the additional capacity to extend to a three-form entry school with just over 650 children in the near future.
The academy already has a highly skilled and experienced leadership team, and we’re looking for a new Deputy Headteacher to take us to the next level in our journey towards limitless learning; infinite possibilities. There is no doubt about it, setting Green Ridge up on its next phase will take vision, dedication and hard work, but being part of that exciting and rare journey will be very rewarding to see the academy take shape over the next few years.
