
Over his 29 years working in education, Andrew has been passionate in his determination to support children to thrive, achieve and exceed any expectations they may have for themselves. As a Headteacher, he led a school in an area of significant deprivation from a history of low outcomes to consistently achieving well above national averages (from 43% to 81% RWM Combined). The school was transformed into being one of the most consistently sustaining high performing schools in the borough. In addition to Headship, Andrew has also been a Senior Curriculum Advisor for Excellence in Cities, and since 2015 has been a serving Ofsted inspector.
He joined REAch2 in 2017 as Regional Director, responsible for leading 12 schools, all of which went on to secure a good or better OFSTED judgment. In 2019 he became the Director of Excellence and Standards, responsible for developing quality assurance, school review and a range of educational strategies across the trust, including remote learning and catch up following the pandemic.
In January 2023, he became the National Director of Education, responsible for the ‘Great Schools Strategy’ and for leading education strategy across the trust’s 62 primary schools. He passionately believes that great school need people in them who are themselves determined to achieve the very best outcomes for every child.
