Michelle brings a unique blend of creative, strategic, and educational expertise to her role as Director of Brand and Marketing at REAch2. With a background spanning journalism, PR, and strategic communications, she brings a storyteller’s instinct and a deep understanding of audience engagement to everything she does.
Before stepping into a central role, Michelle spent 20 years working in education, including 15 years in senior leadership. As the founding headteacher of The Robert Fitzroy Academy in Croydon, she built a school from the ground up: shaping its vision, culture, and team. It remains her proudest professional achievement and grounds her work in a deep, school-first perspective.
Now Director of Brand and Marketing, Michelle leads a brand strategy that drives pupil recruitment, attracts future teachers, including SCITT trainees and strengthens internal and external communications. Her work supports not just growth in numbers, but also pride, belonging, and a shared sense of purpose across our schools.
Michelle is a passionate advocate for brand storytelling as a force for connection and clarity. She believes everyone across REAch2 is a brand ambassador and champions a bold, values-led approach to communications that reflects the spirit and diversity of our Trust. She believes everyone across the Trust is both a brand ambassador and a culture carrier. From classroom to central, her experience offers a unique lens on what helps school communities and the children and families they serve, grow and thrive.
