Tony became the Marsh McLennan Controller for Continental Europe in April 2023, responsible for 104 companies across 38 counties.  Prior to that Tony was Chief Financial Officer for Mercer’s U.K. business where he was a member of the Executive Leadership team.  He also sits on the Board and Risk Committee of Mercer Limited and a number of other regulated entities in the U.K., and on the Audit Committee of Marsh Limited.

Tony has been with Marsh McLennan for 22 years through two acquisitions, having served as a Board Director at Alexander Forbes prior to Its acquisition by JLT in 2013 and then serving on the Board of JLT’s Benefit Solutions business (which was acquired by Marsh McLennan in 2019).

The majority of Tony’s career has been in finance, initially training in Audit at a small Dublin based practice. After moving to the UK in 1996 he spent 6 years working in the public sector in a variety of audit and finance roles before joining Alexander Forbes in 2001. Tony led the successful integration of Alexander Forbes into JLT in 2013 and filled an Interim Chief Operating Officer role at JLT before returning to finance in 2015.
